We've all struggled with wanting to be better in certain areas and wanting to get something right the first time to avoid admitting failure. I've been there myself and I'm telling you this because you need to hear that sometimes things don't always work out the way you want them to...and thats okay. That makes you human. I can't even remember the number of times that I have felt defeated over a painting that didn't come out right, a drawing where the pencil smudged way too much, or a picture turned out to be blurry when I thought it would be my best work yet. I admit that I let that keep me down for a while; I stuffed my creativity in a locked box. I was tired of feeling like what I was creating wasn't as good as what the people around me were creating. I ran away and hid from creativity because I was afraid I would let it down yet again. It wasn't until recently that I realized that all creativity requires is courage.
We as humans are filled with all these ideas that need us to bring them into existence and what a shame it would to deny them that. Those ideas that you keep hidden away are that make you, you and they need you to be brave. They don't want you to stay safe in your comfort zone. Nothing happens in a comfort zone except for routine and well, that just isn't exciting. Yes, you will encounter roadblocks and traffic jams on the open road but just think how beautiful those breakthroughs will be when you pass them. Through the difficulties you will meet people, people that wouldn't dare let you hide away from what they know you are capable of. Keep them around; they're important and more than half the time they'll be what keeps you going with their encouraging words and kind hearts.
"Remember, failure is one temporary!"Rocky Balboa once said. Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Despite what you may be thinking, even at this very moment, you'll do good. In fact you will be better than good, you will be amazing. I believe your words, pictures, dances, and films will turn into battlecries to change the world. Now, get up and create! Go out and inspire this world whose creativity has been snuffed out and help them get back on their feet once again. It is better to look back on life knowing you were bold rather than calculated.
